PT Marubeni Indonesia, together with PT Sirkular Karya Indonesia (a subsidiary of PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk) and PT DNP Indonesia, announced a strategic collaboration to launch Indonesia’s first large-scale industrial initiative that converts plastic waste into sustainable building materials.
This synergistic project processes plastic waste from DNP’s production facilities—previously managed through high-temperature incineration—into durable and recyclable building products. These products will be marketed nationwide under the Alduro Roof brand for roofing applications and Alduro Board for wall partition uses, offering safer, affordable, and environmentally friendly building solutions accessible to communities across Indonesia.
The initiative also supports the implementation of Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry No. 75/2019 on the Roadmap for Waste Reduction by Producers, aiming to reduce plastic pollution while expanding circular-economy practices throughout the country.
This collaboration brings together the complementary strengths of three organizations:
PT Sirkular Karya Indonesia (SKI) — provides innovation capabilities and manufacturing facilities to transform plastic waste into high-quality building materials.
PT Marubeni Indonesia — contributes its global network and experience in sustainable business development and market expansion.
PT DNP Indonesia — supplies plastic waste generated from its production processes and reinforces its commitment to responsible waste management.
The three companies emphasize that this partnership is not only targeted at domestic markets but also paves the way for exporting green building products globally—strengthening Indonesia’s position in the international circular-economy value chain.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in turning waste into economic opportunity—combining industrial innovation, environmental responsibility, and material accessibility. By introducing competitive and socially inclusive recycled products, the project is expected to accelerate the adoption of sustainable materials in Indonesia’s construction sector and reduce dependence on environmentally harmful disposal methods.
